Infectious Diseases are caused by bacteria, viruses, parasites, or fungi to the skin. Most skin diseases are contagious. 

Venereology is also considered part of dermatology as it is the study and treatment of sexually transmitted diseases. HIV infections are also treated by dermatologists and venereologists
